The girls have been doing swimming lessons on Saturdays this month. Maelie was an Otter, Kyla was a Duck, and there wasn't an open class for Jaxon... Maelie passed! And Kyla, had fun. :) And the rest of us were HOT!!!

decisions...
Trying to make 2 decisions right now...
Since my last baby was a c section, I am not supposed to go much past 40 weeks. I have a choice to schedule a c section on my due date (Fri Oct 28th) or 40 1/2 weeks (Tues Nov 1st). I am hoping to go into labor on my own before I have to get a c section. I can't get induced unless I have already made progress on my own. Part of me thinks I will be so ready for this baby to come out by my due date and the other part of me thinks it's only 4 more days and that gives me more time to start labor on my own and hopefully have a successful VBAC. hhmmmm....
the other is about Kyla and her therapies... She has occupational therapy right after school on Mondays and speech therapy right after school on Thursdays. Like, I pick them up at school and we race to therapy and barely make it. Part of me realizes this is good for her and I need to take advantage of these therapies because she only gets them until she is 6 in January. Another part feels like Kyla needs as much free time as she can get! And she does like them....
hhmmmm.....
sleep over!!
Shape Family #2
Here is cute Kyla and her Shape Family poem. For fun, you can see Maelie doing the same thing 2 years ago...

I had Canyon's ultrasound with the specialist yesterday and his kidneys are barely swollen, at what is considered a normal level, so no worries there. :)

Baby Canyon
I got to see my baby this morning and I love when they turn on the 3D! He is so cute, I want to hold him so bad!!! He has a big head and he does have swollen kidneys, but the dr said not to worry (yeah right). I am going to get another ultrasound done at a specialist to see how bad the swelling is. If the swelling is bad, then I have to deliver at a Level 3 hospital (Banner Desert) where there will be a pediatric urologist to check him out. But.... dr said not to worry because he's not worried, so we shall see. He is about 3 pounds (60th percentile) and he is measuring almost 2 weeks early, so I would LOVE that!!! (not gonna count on it tho) Everything else looks great. All my tests came back awesome and I am totally healthy!

preschool
I never got a pic of Jaxon on his first day back to preschool because it was a rough day. He's been having a rough couple weeks. Extra clingy, having a hard time leaving both his blanket and his mommy. Today was his happiest and he actually had his back pack on and was ready to go out the door! So I was able to get his pic. Yesterday was semi happy, but he was still clinging on to his blanket! I go to curriculum night in a bit to find out more about his new school, since he switched schools. It's still thru the school district and he still rides the bus.
*gasp* I was not expecting this but both Maelie and Kyla are loving school so far. Kyla hasn't mentioned a word about it being too long. Her teacher says she is so sweet and is really good at following directions. Whose daughter?!?! There has been some awesome storms lately and we have loved them! Too bad it's not cool enough to open the windows!
I am feeling slightly spoiled. Last Wed afternoon during Jaxon's preschool Jonas and I went to see Harry Potter and yesterday afternoon we went to lunch. I volunteered this morning in Kyla's class and am doing that in Maelie's next week. I have time to get my bloodwork done and other fun stuff, kid free! haha! One of these days I'm going to get some material to make Canyon a quilt. But my times next week are already pretty much booked, with getting new glasses, and taking the kids to the dentist, and volunteering. Anyway, that's what we've been up to in a nutshell!

2nd grade
Maelie is a 2nd grader! We missed meet the teacher night but she seems to know her teacher Mrs. Swanson and she is excited!
Jonas took Maelie to her playground and I took Kyla so this is where we said goodbye!
cute girls had their clothes all ready the night before! Maelie is so excited to go back to school!

Kyla is at full day kindergarten!! She seemed totally fine but I am totally nervous. I will be so happy when it's time to go pick her up! Kyla has the same teacher Maelie had - Mrs. Varner - and we are so glad!

the first day of school!!!!
I could not sleep last night! I was worrying about every little silly thing possible! Today is the first day of school. We missed meet the teacher night. I am having some anxiety about Kyla going to full day kindergarten. She is a unique individual. She seems wayyyy too young to go to school all day. But she has had almost 2 years of preschool and her teachers there said she was doing great! She has been excited to go, but last night the last thing she said was, "I think it would be better if I stayed home." I kind of agree with her but of course I said, "No, school is way more fun that staying home, good night, I love you." The girls fell right to sleep but I tossed and turned. Maelie is starting 2nd grade. I'm not very worried about her at all. She will be fine. Jaxon starts preschool tomorrow at a different school with a different class and teacher. But he has been asking me everyday the past few days if he's going to preschool. I think he will be fine. There are several other worries I have going on... but it's time to make school lunches. Jonas and I had a break through over the weekend! A name we both like and we both feel really good about. Who knows if it's the real one, but for now we both like it and that's a plus!

home sweet home
I'm not thinking we will ever do that again. Driving for 4 days and only being there for 5 was too quick and too tiring! I am so glad that we went tho. Tuesday was a busy day. All of Jonas' siblings were there, except for one who was in the middle of finals week. I'm really glad that we made the effort to go. It was worth it! The sealing was awesome! Little Elissa and Pilot got sealed to their parents Tim and Janay. It was so beautiful! I wish I had pix from that, I will definitely have to get some from someone else. The kids had so much fun getting to know all their cousins, I am sad that we only had one day together with everyone. Maelie was crying the day we left because she wanted to play with her cousins longer. We took pix of Jonas' parents with all the grandkids that I will also have to get from someone else. I was bad and didn't take any pix. There was an awesome dinner that night and the girls got their blessings. (kinda like a baby blessing) It was very cool, eventho I had to take a loud Jaxon out of the room. Anyway, then we drove home for 2 days straight! LONG!!!! We stayed at a hotel Wednesday night in Provo. The kids did so awesome! There were occasional bad moments, like when all 3 kids had to go to the bathroom bad!!! We got into the gas station bathroom and there was a LINE!! There were 2 older ladies in front of us and it was so obvious my kids had to go bad, Maelie was crying and Jaxon was yelling and holding himself. The 2 ladies behind me were like "those ladies should have let them go first!" My thought exactly but what do ya do? And then there was the time when we were an hour from home and Jaxon starts yelling "I don't wanna go this way, (he points behind him) I wanna go that way. I don't wanna go to my house, I want to go back to Grandma and Grandpa's house" But we are so thankful that our DVD players worked the whole time, for RedBox, for a working vehicle that gave us no problems, that we didn't get in any accidents, for air conditioning, and that we made it home!!

more Canada FUN
Today was warm and sunny so we headed back into Waterton! The kids sure love the tall grass!
It was a much better day for playing in the water!
There is a new park in Waterton, even with a splash pad, we were pretty surprised. The nice thing about the splash pad there is that us parents don't die of heat watching our kids. :)
We went canoeing at Cameron Lake! That snowy mountain is in the US!!
On Saturday we went to see the spill way, played in the creek a bit, got slushies, and the kids enjoyed the jet tub! Sunday we went to church, I had a huge nap after having to take 2 Benadryls (so I'm not sure what everyone else did) and then we went to the cemetery!
Family is starting to trickle in... tomorrow is the sealing day of Jonas' brother Tim's family. :)
