Jaxon at 18 months

Jaxon is 18 months old now! Here are the stats from his check up
27 lbs (60 %) and 33 in (50 %)
down slightly from his 12 month when he was 65% and 89%
Jaxon loves milk, yogurt, grapes, strawberries, popcorn, pretzels, and popsicles! He is starting to love cars and trucks. He loves everything he is not allowed to have like the phone, scissors, and permanent markers! He continues to keep me busy and he never fails to make me laugh. He adores his sisters and daddy, and mommy too of course. He has been in nursery for about a month now and although he doesn't talk to tell us all about it, we think he likes it since he has always gone in without any troubles. We are working on his vocab, hoping that he will do a little more talking and a little less screeching!! :) We love our Jaxon!

Happy Labor Day

greek food and a pedal boat

We did something a little different for date night, it was a fun change. We went to Tempe Town Lakes and rented a pedal boat, those are quite the workout! And I also discovered I have a fear of going under bridges at night in mysterious waters. :) Despite the 105* night, it was still nice... it was cool to see the light rail bridge light up everytime the train went past.

We tried out greek food at My big FAT Greek restaurant by ASU. It was different, and different is good occasionally. We also tried baklava, like on Aladdin in the song Friend Like Me. :) yummy, but there are plenty of other desserts we prefer over it!

Shape Family

Locks of Love

Maelie is donating her 10 inch ponytail to locks of love! Before...
After...
I feel like she grew up a few years in 20 minutes! She says she looks like a different girl. I think she really likes it, I like it, too, but I am glad her hair grows so fast. She is so lucky to have such beautiful hair. The people at Fantastic Sams were raving about her hair and about how good she was to give up her hair. One of them said, "are all your kids this happy? It's hard to find kids that happy these days!" I was like "really?!?!" weird... but, wow, her hair was so easy to do this morning!!!!

2008 blog book

I finished my 2008 blog book! When I did my 2007 book, a few people asked to see pix and I never got around to it, so here are a few pix of the 2008 book. It takes some time, but it's a good way to keep your family history and I enjoy it better than scrapbooking! I'm really happy with the finished product, I used blurb.com, it's not a perfect, completely easy site but it gets the job done. I might try a different site next time.

And I totally spaced putting 2008 on the cover, oops! 2008 was an awesome year!!

simple equation

And after lost of scrubbing with lots of different solutions, it looks a little better + water stains, UGH! Good thing he's cute and we love him more than the only couch we have EVER bought!
