haircut, camera happy, and Saturday morning chores

I've been wanting to grow Jaxon's hair out but he looked so hot outside on Saturday so we chopped it and I can see from the pic that he needs a little more trimmed up!

Sunday I got a little camera happy and took lots of pix of the kiddos. Notice anything different about Maelie? Yup, she lost her 2nd tooth!

Saturday morning we (mostly Jonas) took the broken branches off our tree. It looks pretty pathetic now. Does anyone know much about pruning? (Jarod?) If we leave the branch like that, will it grow back? Anyway, it's fun having a yard to take care of and a house to take care of. Jonas replaced our faucet so we have a kitchen sink again! Maelie and Kyla also helped with the yard by making gardens and Jaxon helped daddy with the tools. :)

fun at San Tan

the joys of homeownership

This past month, we've begun to really get the picture of the whole responsibility it is to own a home! We can't just call the repair guy anymore and he comes and fixes all our problems for free. Now it is our job to find the cheapest way to fix things... so we usually end up just dealing with it a little longer as well. Our AC stopped getting below 80*, luckily since it was on warranty, we got the compressor replaced. Our back door is stuck, our kitchen sink faucet hose is leaking (do you know how annoying it is to not have a kitchen faucet?) so we're in the middle of figuring that one out, and our tree split on Tuesday night! But who's complaining? Our home inspector said our house was as close to perfect as a house can be and we do love our home!

my cute baby isn't much of a baby anymore

Last week Maelie was sick all week and missed her 2nd week of kindergarten. She went to school on Friday at 10:30 and I think it wore her out!! She got rest over the weekend and I think she is back to normal and ready for a fun week of school. I am also happy to get out of the house this week because I think Kyla, Jaxon and I suffered from cabin fever! This is the cute dress Grandma Rogers made her for her birthday! She loves ladybugs and wants to be one for halloween.

Jaxon is 17 months old today! He is the only kid that I have not pushed the milestones at all, been excited about them, but not anxious for him to grow up! I wish he could stay sweet and little. You could think of Jaxon as a little terror, he gets into everything he is not supposed to and doesn't care much for toys. Last night he pulled the phone out of my mom's wall and carried it around the house and just this morning he ripped apart our external hard drive! But I think he is so cute and funny and sweet and I just live for his little personality. I realize it's time to start doing time outs and stuff but I have the hardest time not giving that sweet little face exactly what he wants! Oh, I love this kid to pieces!!! He went to nursery for his first time yesterday and Jonas stayed in there with him (and Kyla) the entire time. Jonas is in scouts and I am in primary so we are trying to get him in there a little early. Maybe next week Jonas will try to leave him (and Kyla). Sometimes I stop and realize I have a 5, 3, and 1 year old and just think, how did I get here?!?!

Couldn't you just eat him up??
