testimony

Maelie wanted to bear her testimony for her first time yesterday.  But when we got to church she got really scared.  And then I got that feeling, oh no!  So I told her I was going to go up and she could come with me if she wanted.  We went up together and she wanted to go first.  She did so great!  She said that the scriptures were true, and everything in the whole church was true, and that if you bear your testimony you will feel good, families can be together forever, and anyone can get baptized if they want to.  Then I bore mine.  A few weeks back I taught a lesson to the beehives on bearing testimony and I realized that I usually only bear it to my family or when I am teaching so it was good for me to get up there.  I know the Gospel is true.  Maelie's baptism was actually kind of crazy and stressful for me. But that moment when Jonas and Maelie got in the font was beautiful.  I was so happy for Maelie.  I felt so much love from Jonas when he scanned the crowd and smiled at me, making sure I was there.  And I felt another confirmation from the Holy Ghost that the Gospel was true.  Awesome!  Jonas and I also said the prayers in sacrament meeting yesterday.  Jonas got a new calling as the 1st counselor in the Elder's Quorum Presidency so I went to see him get set apart in Elder's.  Jonas will be so awesome in there.  The high councilor asked the wives of the 2 counselors to bear testimony so I bore testimony again! I was not planning on bearing my testimony at all that day but I am glad I got the opportunity.

9 months old!!

Canyon is 9 months old!  It's funny how the 9 months he is inside me just DRAG but once he is out, woosh!!!  We sure love this little guy!!  At his well check last week he was 27.5 inches (20%) 19lbs 5oz (50%) 19in head (99%) and his first tooth is actually 2 teeth fused together which is why it is so big! So he has 4 teeth and the top 2 are coming soon :) Healthy, happy, growing boy!  I copied that last little bit off Facebook.  So many times I have to check facebook or my blog to remember something.  And I need to get everything into his baby book.  

He took his first step on July 15th, Maelie's birthday.  His record so far is 7 steps last night!
