Maelie's 1st haircut!

K... So, I meant to trim about 4 inches off Maelie's hair, it has never been cut except for bangs when she was a baby. Well, 4 inches turned into about 10! I didn't realize how hard it was to get it straight. It is still crooked but I had to stop before she looked like a boy!
ahhhh! I can't beleive all that hair!
chop chop!

Maelie was watching Blue's Clues and sat very still!

That right there was how long I wanted it, but by the time I got to the other side it was a lot shorter and then, I had to even it out and the rest is history!

SHORT!!!

but cute!! I like it, just wish it were a little more even! I'm scared to try and fix it tho! She likes her short hair! And I love this dress that Grandma made her!

HAPPY 3rd BIRTHDAY MAELIE!!!

I can't believe Maelie is already 3! Altho when you ask her, she holds up 4 fingers and says she's "too old!" hhmmm.... It was so fun having her old enough that she really got excited! She has been talking about her birthday for months! We had a party on Saturday with the family. We had cake and icecream and presents and went swimming! Maelie loved the whole thing! Jonas and I decorated during her nap, she was so excited when she woke up and said, "My birthday party, it's so beautiful! Thank you for my birthday party!" It was cute! Thanks for all who came and thanks for the gifts! Sunday was her real birthday and she had cupcakes in nursery and was really excited about that! Then we ate the rest of her cake over at Grandma's house since more family were there that were out of town for her party. I think she had a fun birthday! We enjoyed it as a family and Jonas and I are still trying to get used to the idea of having a 3 year old!!!
Kyla absolutely loved the cake and was sitting there eating longer than anyone else!

DISNEYLAND!!!

This last weekend we made a very spontaneous trip to Disneyland since Maelie turns 3 next week, we wanted to get her in for free! haha! But we had lots of fun! The girls loved the rides and the fireworks and the parades! It was very fun but also very tiring taking 2 little ones! Kyla had an emotional breakdown the first night! I think we did too much for 1 day! After that we made sure to have good naps and we kept pretty much under control! It was fun spending that time together and it was sure hard to dive home yesterday, back to reality!
Maelie and her hair =)

at Seal Beach, since we came here on Sunday, I thought we'd be able to just go for a walk on the beach, but it was way too packed so we were there for about 5 minutes! I wish we had time to have a day at the beach! Ah well, some other time!

Kyla on the temple grounds - the girls loved running around on the temple grounds!

Kyla on the tea cups - she loved these!
"The face!" This is the face Maelie gave whenever she was scared on a ride! She looked like this anytime we went on a ride that was inside and dark, like Mr. Toad's Wild Ride or Roger Rabbit. I have no idea why the face on the storybook ride!

Maelie jumping in the hotel room our first night there!

Daddy with the girls at the LA temple

The girls at toon town!

Too short! Eventhough there were some rides with height restrictions, I was surprised how many rides we were able to ride with 2 little ones! Mine and Jonas' favorite was Pirates of the Caribbean because it had 2 drops! (wooaahh!) Maelie was scared of it! We didn't think we could convince the girls to go twice though so we didn't even try. We also got a little thrill from the sunwheel at CA Adventure! The girls actually liked that one.
Maelie saw a little girl with wings on the first day we were there and finally on the 3rd day we found some and bought some. They are so cute. They light up! She was "flying" everywhere!
