she didn't make it

Kyla was too sick to go to church and Grandma's so I took Maelie and Jaxon over for dinner and cake and brought her presents home to her. Thanks for the presents! She loves them, all the stuffed animals are lined up by her on the couch right now, she's still sick. She got a jacket, shirt, cow, and snow cone machine from Grandma and Grandpa, a giraffe and piggie bank from Taani and fam, a cheetah from Shannon, a Shel Silverstein book from Jarod and fam. She loves them all, thanks so much!

This is what Kyla looked like all day. She was wearing her cute birthday dress, so determined at the beginning of the day to go to church and Grandma's house.

So we have this hair flower that has a peacock feather on it. Well, Maelie designed a dress for my mom to make for her to match that flower. And my sweet mom actually did it! Thanks, Mom. Maelie LOVES her dress!!!

Happy Birthday Kyla!!

Yesterday was Kyla's birthday! She is 6! She kinda had a rough day and wasn't feeling well for the 2nd half of her day. But I'm glad she was feeling good for the first half at least. I made her a rainbow cake for her cake on her actual birthday and she wasn't feeling well enough to try it. It sure looked cool with those bright colors - the orange layer fell apart, sad. We are hopefully heading over to Grandma's after church today and so she decorated her own cake for that, altho we have plenty of the rainbow cake to bring as well. She had a lot of fun decorating her own cake, she wanted it to be a Valentine's Birthday cake... as you can see she wasn't feeling too well last night, poor girl. We love her so much and are so glad she's in our family!!!

On the morning of her birthday I took her and her friend Sara from school to Build a Bear. She has never been and she was so excited. It was a lot of fun!!

She wanted rainbow pancakes for breakfast! We filled her room with balloons before we went to bed, which turned out to be a bad idea, because Maelie and Kyla were awake at 1 am so excited for Kyla's special day. But they did go back to sleep. When we came out in the morning, they had decorated a birthday chair for her to open her presents. We got her a Rapunzel wii game and some coloring stuff. She got Popcorn Bopping from Grandma and Grandpa Stanford and a Build a Bear gift card from her primary teacher. (so she got pj's for her dog at Build a Bear) She also got a Happy Birthday Barbie from her friend Sara.



We also went to Beauty and the Beast 3D in the afternoon, eventho Kyla wasn't feeling well, she wanted to go soooo bad!! We had a great time and Canyon even slept the whole time for us. I am really hoping Kyla is able to go to church and Grandma's house today! Happy Birthday Kyla! We love you!!

nothin' much

Not much going on around here, just some sickness and some everyday life...

Maelie is on a 6 week trip around the world for school, last week was Kenya and this week is China, the class pic is with their China presenter. Canyon is adorable, but not an awesome sleeper... Jaxon is learning about community workers in preschool, policeman, fireman, and mailman, oh yeah! That boy is loving it!




so cute, most of the time he has to be rocked to sleep, but I put him on the beanbag and he fell right to sleep... silly Maelie girl, Kyla on the 100th day of school, and cutie boy.

this little guy keeps growing and growing. Had an 8 hour sleep Saturday night and then been up every 3 hours since then!

2012 here we come!

Well, here we are getting back into life!  Jonas back to work and finally doing more design and less counting screws, the kids all back in school ready or not (I was ready!) and the calender is filling up!  It really is amazing how fast my calender fills up with appts and things.  It was blank just a week ago!  Today I went to Jaxon's IEP and I am so thankful for his teacher and speech therapist.  He passed his goals this year and is ready to begin new goals!  I also took Canyon to his 2 month well check.  That little stinker is growing up wayyy to fast!  Can't he stay little??  He is 13 pounds 13 ounces and 24 inches.  He is in the 75th percentile for both.  He is healthy happy and doing great...  He sure didn't like those shots but who does!?  He did his first 7 hour sleep stretch at night this week.  Kristin, my sis in law, and I are meeting to walk 3 times a week and that has been fun.  Now if I can just eat healthier.  I am doing better, baby steps. =)  Yesterday I got a report card for both Maelie and Kyla and they both are doing awesome!  All MS (meets standards) and E (Excellent) and either AG (above grade level) or OG (on grade level)!!  Jonas is still loving his ward missionary calling and starting to learn some more computer programming on the side.  I taught my first lesson to my new group of 14 year olds on Sunday and they seem like a pretty good group of kids.  And it's time to make my 2011 blog book, where did the year go?

Canyon's Blessing Day

Yesterday was Canyon's blessing day. It was a great day and I am so thankful for all the love and support on both sides of our families. Jonas and I are both blessed with wonderful families and we love you all. I am so so so thankful that Jonas holds the Priesthood and was able to bless Canyon. It was such a powerful overwhelming feeling to hear those words given from Heavenly Father to my sweet baby. Canyon is such an amazing blessing and I don't know what I did to deserve him. I love him to pieces!
