This past weekend, we went to Sedona and the Grand Canyon. The Grand Canyon is beautiful and always a sight to see! The kids thought it was really cool and we had to keep a VERY close watch on them. The Chapel of the Holy Cross was this pretty cool church built into the Sedona red rocks with an excellent view of Sedona. We went on a little hike that was kid-worthy at Red Rock State Park near Oak Creek. It was really cool! There was this cute little bridge and lots of rocks the kids loved! They picked out a souvenier at the gift shop, Maelie a stick crayon and Kyla a little box of polished stones. We went to Slide Rock where the water was a little chilly. Kyla loved it and woulda dived in if I had let her. The rocks are very slippery so we had to keep hold of her. Maelie just liked climbing on the rocks and throwing rocks into the water. One thing we learned from the trip was that 2 toddlers are VERY hard to travel with. I lost track of how many sights we left with a fit-throwing little girl. Gone are the days of care-free sight-seeing and traveling. And our first night there, poor Maelie was sick and throwing up during the night. She wasn't quite herself the whole trip but not as sick as that first night. We did have some fun tho.
