$1,009

If you read the post months ago from christmas, we lost our suitacse on our way to Canada for christmas. Well, recently we got a check in the mail from Air Canada for $1,009. Apparently, they won't be finding our suitcase. The $1,009 is the exact amount I told them we had lost when I itemized everything. I was hoping we would get some extra money for pain and suffering like you do in car accidents! It certainly did involve a fair amount of pain and suffering. And are we going out and replacing everything we lost? Not $1,009 worth... we are puting it into savings so we can get Jonas a Phd! Word from the learned... make sure the airline puts a tag on every single piece of luggage and make sure you get a claim ticket for every piece as well. (since we didn't even get a claim ticket for this particular suitcase)

getting out!

Thanks to my sweet friend Kristi, Jonas and I got out on a little date this morning. She watched the girls who had so much fun playing with her girls while we went to WalMart with Jaxon. It was mine and Jaxon's first official outing besides dr appt and PKU test. It was great! We bought stuff for the girls' easter baskets and then we went to Starbucks and got a Vanillabean Frappaccino! Soooo yummy! It feels good to be doing better and getting out again! I can't wait to exercise!

oh, one more thing...

My little brother Trevon is going to the Jacksonville, Florida mission on June 18th, CONGRATS!!!

Happy St. Patty's Day

Jonas made green clover pancakes today - aren't they cute???

Jaxon's 1st week

Jaxon is 1 week old! We are all doing well. Jonas is working 4 hour days the next 2 weeks so I am at it alone and so far so good. I mean, I am blogging so it must be going well. As of right now all 3 kids are sleeping and I probably should be, too. :)
my brother Jason and neice Brooke came to see Jaxon on Saturday.

1 week!

little sweetheart!

Maelie loves her baby brother. I am surprised with how well the girls have adjusted. She is always saying how cute he is and watching him.
Kyla is also doing good with Jaxon, she is a little more rough and loud so we have to be more careful when she is around him. But she hasn't acted jealous as I thought she would, I mean no more clingy that she always is and we are used to that. =)
such a sweet pic

Jaxon's 1st bath at home, a sponge bath since he still has his umbilical cord. He liked it for the most part.

sleeping in his 2nd favorite place to be - his first is eating.

"Thank you for blogging."

This is what Jonas said to me this morning! And I can say that I am grateful I blog as well. Why?... Last weekend our computer was having issues so Jonas decided to erase the entire computer and start over. Well, we had most of our pix and videos and other important things already saved to cd. EXCEPT for a folder containing Jaxon's birth pix and videos as well as Kyla's 2nd bday pix. So I told him as long as we were sure we got that folder saved to cd then go ahead. Well, he spent some time saving pix and then this morning, after he had wiped out the computer, he was looking for this particular cd so that he could put a pic from it on the desktop and can you beleive that he couldn't find that CD?!?!?! Well, I had a rough night last night. Jaxon is having a growth spurt and I am in the sore stage of nursing. So, when he told me a bit of my baby blues took over and I was pretty upset about it. ANYWAY, thankfully it turned out that when you click on the pix on blogs, it makes them to their normal size so I was atleast able to save all the photos I had blogged back onto our computer. So Jonas said, and I agree, "Thank you for blogging!" I do understand what he was going through because I accidentally erased Maelie's 1st birthday party pix and was so devastated! I love digital cameras but we all sure need to be better about getting them on hardcopy or some sort of copy, like blogs!

beautiful flowers from my awesome hubby!

right after the c-section, which was actually a pretty cool experience, it was very fast, the worst part for me was getting the spinal block... I was so worried that I would feel pain, well it felt like they were just barely touching me with their finger tips and the dr showed me the little pinchers that they were jabbing me with - amazing! after I recovered from that and Jonas came in, I was fine. I could feel what they were doing which was REALLY strange but it didn't hurt and before too long I saw my baby! It was awesome!
I am so happy it's all over - and now for recovery! Jaxon is such a sweet and beautiful angel. I am so grateful for him, he is an incredible blessing and miracle.
