the simple life

I love how kids make you realize how the simple things in life can bring so much happiness :)

Sunday beanbag fun

This is what we like to do on Sunday afternoons :)

Fairytale Night

Last night Maelie had her kindergarten Fairytale Night. It was very cute! Everyone was dressed up as fairytale characters. Maelie was Aurora along with a lot of other little girls. :) They sang songs and Maelie had a blast! Thanks Mom, Shannon, Kelly and kids for coming. Afterwards I took Maelie to the grocery store to pick out some flowers and some icecream. She was loving all the attention she got and really loved being all dressed up! I am thankful that Maelie gets to be in such a good school and have such a great teacher!

Easter Picnic

My Mom just sent me these cute pix from the Easter Picnic. Thanks Mom! =)

lady bugs, sand art, and choo choo's

Jonas is off on scout camp so I headed to Target last night to get us some fun stuff to do so we could keep busy and not miss him too much. :) As for Jaxon, I bought him a Thomas the train and we didn't even hear from him for 2 hours. It was just a little train peice, not even a set. That kid is addicted and it's awesome how happy he can be with a few cars or trains. A side story... he has been watching Thomas the train off Netflix for a few weeks but he doesn't have any Thomas toys. There is one at nursery that he has to play with every week. Well last Sunday as we were heading into sacrament meeting, he starts yelling "choo choo" so Jonas went to the nursery and grabbed the Thomas so he could play with it during sacrament meeting. Silly Kid! And when I pick him up from nursery I now make sure I have a car in my bag that I can hand him otherwise he will throw a huge fit. Oh, the joys of 2 year olds!! Anyway... Jaxon was busy with his first Thomas toy and us girls did some sand art and those shrink a doodle things. It was a lot of fun! And I didn't miss Jonas until after the kids were in bed. I can't sleep alone anymore! The girls (I) also caught a ladybug they are sooo excited about! Also, Kyla cut her hair the other day and you can see it in the pix. Basically, she always has her hair in her face now. I never cut Kyla bangs as a baby because I didn't want to deal with them and here she goes and cuts them herself. Atleast they aren't really short. I probably should take her in to get her hair cut kinda layered or something. And I am going private next week, so remember to let me know if you want an invite. I am off to exercise and clean the house!

PRIVATE

I hate private blogs and never wanted to be one of those annoying people with a private blog. hehe :) But I was just looking on my live feed and noticed someone who I don't know had been looking at my blog for a long time and clicking on pix from way back. This could be anyone that was just browsing but I started worrying that it was some psycho. So send me your email to jonasandmistie@gmail.com or mistielin@gmail.com or leave a comment if you want to be invited. I hate doing this, because I know there are people that look but don't really want me to know, haha! And it's so fun to run into blogs of people from back in the day and be able to check them out so I feel bad doing this. It's just too bad we don't live in a perfect world. :) I'm just getting all worried about some freak looking at pix of my cuties. But seriously, just let me know and I will invite you. I mainly think of my blog as keeping track of memories now anyway, it's not that exciting of a blog. :) On the bright side, I am excited to be able to be more free with what I post!

Rockin' R Ranch

I got to go with Maelie on her field trip today.  I went to Rockin R' Ranch on a field trip when I was little so it was fun to go there with her.  It was HOT but fun!

spring time

Just some recent fun pix of the kiddos...  Kyla has been doing pretty good on her bike and now Maelie and Kyla can ride together.  We love playing "bean bag" on Sunday afternoons... which mostly involves a lot of tackling, chasing, jumping, pillow fighting, and diving... the pic of Kyla on top of the bean bag on top of Jonas cracks me up!!  Cutie Jaxon loves wearing his fireman hat.  He is so fun in the car, always yelling out "I see a truck!  I see a bus!  I see a bike! I see a tractor!" Kyla's friend Rebekah came to play recently, they are in Sunbeams together.  Her little brother Bryce stayed too, Jaxon and Bryce are in nursery together.  The kids had fun!  Jaxon and Bryce had a few fights over the trucks, but all in all did pretty good!  Maelie also had her friend Railie from her primary class come over after school to play.
Last week we went to the temple, on a shopping/lunch date, to a wedding reception which the girls loved and have been playing wedding ever since, on a big family reunion picnic, and other fun stuff like cleaning and yardwork :) ... life is good, happy spring!
