leap day

It's the last day of February! Where is time going? I figured I better get another post in before March.

the girls favorite new do - heart hair. We went to the kids' school carnival on Saturday and Maelie got crazy hair. The kids love the carnival! Jaxon was really funny about all the carnival games. He only wanted the prize, didn't care about the games. So he would just throw the beanbag/ball/dart in the general direction of the game to the ground when they handed it to him. Silly kid!

Canyon is growing up! He is rolling, starting to play with toys, and becoming very social - laughing and smiling lots! Happy kid!

Valentine's

Happy Valentine's Day! This is Maelie class - love bugs! We actually got to go out on Vday, we meant to go to the temple but Jonas forgot his recommend, so we went to BJ's and used a giftcard from Christmas. It was so yummy and so nice to be out with Jonas. I love him so much! We had pink heart pancakes for breakfast. The kids all had celebrations for AZ centennial as well as Valentine's parties at school. Fun day!

Saturday I went to 2 baby showers - 2 of my best childhood friends are having their first babies in April. It was a fun day to be out with friends. I took Canyon with me since I was gone so long. He was a good sweet baby. These are 2 pix that my friend Tina took. Canyon being cute and my friend Tera who is having a baby girl. I also went to Kelly's shower, she is having a boy!

I swear I am the luckiest girl alive. I love these cute people so much!!!

Sunday, I got to teach Kyla's primary class and Sunday School. I love primary, it was nice to be back. Kyla's teacher got released, I am secretly hoping, I will get called back into primary, hehehe. (guess it's not a secret anymore)

Today the kids are off, but Jonas is working. :( We walked and rode bikes to the park, it's been a fun day so far!

haircut

Jaxon's last haircut was before Canyon was born.... it was getting long but I thought it looked pretty cute. He hates hates hates haircuts. He screams the entire time! So, I have to resort to bribery. He only gets ice cream if he finishes his food which rarely happens. He loves ice cream so it was the perfect reward for enduring the torture of a haircut. He looks so much older now! This will probably become the cycle, a haircut every 3 or 4 months because that's the earliest we will want to do that again!

Oh, and Maelie is better and no one else has gotten it! Hallelujah! Feels like we've been sick for all of 2012!!!

sick

feeling a little guilty that the kids didn't get the flu shot but Jonas and I did. I have mixed feelings about the flu shot... Kyla is better after a full week and then Maelie got it! She is hopefully on her last day if it goes as long as Kyla's. So far, Jaxon, Jonas, Canyon and I haven't gotten it and I'd really like to keep it that way. So we have been staying close to home and haven't been doing much. Our stake got new ward boundaries yesterday. They created a new ward and they are also building another building. A chunk of our ward got taken out but it wasn't us. Anyway...

Kyla opening a bday present from Travis and fam - she loved the sidewalk chalk, bike horn, and dragon balloon. She also got her snow cone maker from Grandma and Grandpa that was being shipped and she loves it, we all love it actually. It's even been good for Maelie and her flu. We love playing games on Sundays. Kyla made a few games that were pretty cute. Jaxon waited "patiently" for his turn to pick a game - Candyland Castle. And of course Canyon had to play, too. :)

Last week was spirit week. Kyla was out the entire week. Maelie got sick on Wednesday - I had to go pick her up from school. This is Maelie on Tuesday - mismatch day!
