Kyla's 1st day of preschool

Kyla is at her first day of preschool right now! I was SO surprised at how well she did when I dropped her off. I was totally prepared for a fit and a clingy little girl but she was fine! She is in the preschool in our school district for a developmental delay in the social and adaptive areas. I am excited that she gets to go and am confident that it will help her overcome some fears and anxiety. She picked out her outfit and her backpack last week and was really excited to go today. She also chose her breakfast - colorful pancakes, eggs, chocolate milk, and fruitsnacks - the most important meal of the day! :) I am anxious to see how she did on her first day! I love this little girl so much!

Last night we had our traditional FHE before halloween... we had the jack-o-lantern pizza from Papa Murphy's - YUM! And we carved a pumpkin after the lesson. This year it was fun having Shannon with us since it was her birthday! We had a yummy dessert pizza for her cake - the blurry pic below...

And the last pic was on Saturday when the girls painted pumpkins before the carnival at Maelie's school. Such a fun time of year!

Thanksgiving EH?!

Monday was Canadian thanksgiving and we had a yummy feast! Kyla has really been into dressups lately, I just had to take her pic!

Maelie and Kyla doing an art project - Kyla kept painting hers over and over and over, she didn't want to stop and then at the end she asked me what color hers was and in my head I was thinking nasty brownish-purplish but instead told her how colorful it looked! :) It's been fun having Maelie home for fall break, but I think she is excited to go back on Wednesday! She went to a birthday party on Saturday and was so happy to see so many of her friends from school.

soccer camp

Maelie has a couple weeks off from school for fall break so I signed the girls up for a community soccer camp. It was every day this week, it's been fun and the weather has been great! There is a really fun park right by the soccer field so Jaxon has been entertained while the girls are playing soccer. The girls have also enjoyed playing at the park before and after soccer. I never take them to the park during the summer, it's just way too hot. So it's been so nice to be outside this week and actually enjoy it!notice Kyla's idea of playing soccer. She would only play with this one ball and always did her own thing, that's our Kyla :) sorry for the bad zoom

We had a wet time washing the car yesterday afternoon! And yes, even I was soaked!!

it must be a boy thing

We have had this little IKEA tent for a while since Kyla was about 15 months old. The girls loved playing in the tent and the tent always remained upright, they never had problems with it tipping over. I remember one time when we were babysitting for friends and Maelie's friend Ty was over and the tent was out. Well, he was all over it, tipping it over, climbing all over it, in and out and upside down. I remember Jonas and I noticing how different boys were since that was before we had a boy. Even after Ty's example, the girls still never tipped it over.

Well, the tent has been put away for a while until this afternoon when I got it out... and what do you know?
