Our future update

Jonas has changed his mind a little.... we are now applying for his PhD in acoustics! The schools we are applying for are Penn State, Boston University, Georgia Tech, and the University of Texas. We are REALLY close to being all done with the process and that will feel really good! Our first pick is Penn State mostly because the program is the best for acoustics but I also think it would be a really cool place to live for 4 years! We would be close to Palmyra, DC, Kirtland, NYC, Boston, etc.... We are applying to go Fall 2008. Anyway, keep your fingers crossed for us, or better yet pray, that the best thing will work out for our family and we can get through school!

Merry Christmas!!!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!.... it's christmas time!

We had a really fun thanksgiving with family over at Mistie's parents house! The dinner was great and plentiful! There was even a BBQ'd turkey! We ate and played and had a blast together!! - this is Kailin, Kyla, Maelie, and Brooke playing "badmitton" -- right!

The cute girls eating their turkey dinner!

Oops, out of order! This is later, Maelie putting the star on our tree!

everyone at dinner - sorry no one's looking, haha!

Kyla and the nativity... it's been hard trying to keep the girls from playing with it!

Maelie putting on the first ornmaent

Of course Kyla found a candy cane from last year and wanted to eat it

Maelie and Kyla were super excited about the whole thing and really enjoyed putting the decorations on... and taking them off!

Our finished tree... we bought it last year when we were pretty poor and I don't think we'll buy a new one since we'll be in Cardston on Christmas Day! We'd love to go out to the snow and get our own real tree, but I hear trees are scarce here in AZ!... I'm SO excited for the christmas season!!!

Us bright Americans

My Canadian father in law just sent this to me, I thought it was pretty funny.

A Japanese doctor says, "Medicine in my country is so advanced that we can take a kidney out of one man, put it in another, and have him out looking for work in six weeks."
A German doctor says, "That is nothing. We can take a lung out of one person, put it in another, and have him out looking for work in four weeks."
A British doctor says, "In my country medicine is so advanced that we can take half a heart out of one person, put it in another, and have both of them out looking for work in two weeks."
The American doctor, not to be outdone, interjected, "You guys are way behind. We are about to take a woman with no brains, and send her to Washington where she will become President, and then half the country will be out looking for work."

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!

My brother Travis has a new daughter!!! She was born yesterday and her name is Brielle Ainsley Rogers. 9 lbs and 9 oz, seems to be a recurring theme... Both mom and baby are doing well!

They live in Utah... my mom was able to go upto take care of Ethan and to see Brielle!

Mommy Kristin and baby Brielle

Daddy Travis and Brielle

Congrats!!!

All moved in...

well, except for my cell phone, a pitcher, our best knife, and our potato peeler. Why is it that when you move you lose things??? Where do they go? Especially my phone, I'd really like to know where that went!!! I'm thinking Kyla threw it away or something!

Kyla brushing her teeth right before church on Sunday in her new bathroom.

Maelie and her Dora... coloring a picture for Daddy.

Maelie and Kyla ready for church

playing with daddy in the "big house" - what Maelie calls it. For some reason, she doesn't wanna go back to the "little house" ... We are really loving our new place! The added space was greatly needed! And the backyard and garage are definitely a bonus!

This is my first grade teacher Mrs. Littlefield! My nephew Jake is in her class and wanted to trick-or-treat at her house so I got to go see her! Very cool!

Princess Maelie - all ready to go!... and yes, she finally decided to be a princess, she just didn't want to wear the Princess dress we bought for her and didn't want to wear her crown either! So she had 3 different cosumes this year!
