my family is my life

My 2 sleeping boys...

Canyon and I made it to sacrament meeting yesterday, it felt great and I was hoping to stay for the entire time, but felt a little like passing out as I was walking down the halls to deliver Kyla and Jaxon to their classes, maybe next week... here is a pic of Canyon on his first day of church, Jaxon wore that shirt home from the hospital. And then this is the blanket my mom made for Canyon, isn't it incredible! I love it! It is sooooo soft!!!

And that turned into an impromptu photo shoot that brought forth some of my favorite pix EVER!!! I have beautiful awesome kids!

blessed

Is Canyon really only 2 1/2 weeks old? I feel like he's been with us forever! And these last 2 1/2 weeks have been rough and long and tiring, but incredible. He sure held onto that umbilical cord, longer than any of my other babies, so we sure celebrated when it came off last night! And of course today he had his first real bath...

Canyon when his cord came off.... and Super Canyon, the kids loved this so much and couldn't stop laughing. Jonas is so good at getting all of us laughing. This week has been my first week with Jonas back at work and has been a little overwhelming. I find myself trying to sink into a bit of depression when I realize how I have nothing to wear, but PJ's and maternity clothes, or when I get overwhelmed by keeping track of 4 children, or when I feel exhausted, or when Kyla and Jaxon make me want to SCREAM, or when nursing hurts, or when my sore tummy slows me down.... but Jonas always seems to be able to make me laugh even when I feel like crying. I am so blessed and I am trying to hold onto that.

I love Jonas so much. He really is an incredible husband and father and I am so blessed to have him. The kids adore him. I love this pic, this was on Sunday when I made them pose for a pic when I realized they were matching. :)

So Canyon isn't the easiest baby out there, that's for sure. He sure is cute tho!

sleep deprivation

Wow! Babies are tiring! You forget, you really do! I guess that's a good thing or else we would all just have one child! Good thing Canyon is cute and oh, so worth it!!! Here are some pix of the past week. Jonas has been amazing at keeping the house under control, taking the kids here and there, and helping me at night time too! He goes back to work on Monday, ahhhhh!!!!! Am I ready for this?!?!?!

Canyon had his well check on Saturday. He was 8 lbs 6 oz. So he gained back what he lost in the hospital and passed his birth weight. Of course he did! He is a milk monster!!! But he is doing well and super healthy. My parents took Maelie to her soccer game on Saturday which I really appreciate and she really loved. She only has 3 games left. My goal is to make it to the last 2. Tomorrow's is at 8 am and I just don't think I'll make it. Jonas is taking her. The RS brought us dinners, Kristin brought us dinner. My parents brought us lunch last Saturday. Shannon brought Maelie home from musical theater last week. I am thankful for all the help we have gotten! Jonas, Canyon, and I went to lunch and Walmart on Wednesday while the other kids were in school. It was nice, but it wiped us out! We had time for an hour nap when we got home before it was time to get the kids! I am doing much better, I have been off drugs this week except for an occasional Ibuprofen. And tomorrow is my 2 week check up with the dr, where I better get the ok to drive because I have to drive next week when Jonas goes back to work!!

Canyon has arrived!!!

Canyon was born On Sunday October 30th at 8:17 am! He was 8 pounds even and 20 inches! He is such an awesome little blessing and we are so so happy he is here and he is healthy! We came home from the hospital on Tuesday and have been taking it easy since. I am so glad Jonas has 2 weeks off work!

trunk or treat and school party...

Friday night we went to the school party, it was so crowded, but the kids had fun... Saturday we cleaned all day long and got everything ready for Canyon to come! Saturday night we went to our ward's trunk or treat. Shannon came and she slept over since we were leaving early in the morning for the hospital. The Trunk or Treat was great! Dinner and then trick or treating. There were tons of cars and everyone decorated their car so fun!

Jaxon found another fireman, his friend Bryce, can't figure out why Jaxon looks so much smaller here since they are the same age and about the same size, I thought.

The kids all ready to go! I love their costumes this year! So cute and so personality fitting!

Maelie and Kyla with their pumpkin collection. They painted another pumpkin at the school party. Oh, and also Jaxon got picked to be in the top 20 at the costume contest at the school!
