Canyon has arrived!!!

Canyon was born On Sunday October 30th at 8:17 am! He was 8 pounds even and 20 inches! He is such an awesome little blessing and we are so so happy he is here and he is healthy! We came home from the hospital on Tuesday and have been taking it easy since. I am so glad Jonas has 2 weeks off work!

Jonas peeked over when he was born and cut the cord!

The C Section went well, my dr was awesome! And now for fun fun recovery! We are sure glad he's here and part of our family!!!

trunk or treat and school party...

Friday night we went to the school party, it was so crowded, but the kids had fun... Saturday we cleaned all day long and got everything ready for Canyon to come! Saturday night we went to our ward's trunk or treat. Shannon came and she slept over since we were leaving early in the morning for the hospital. The Trunk or Treat was great! Dinner and then trick or treating. There were tons of cars and everyone decorated their car so fun!

Jaxon found another fireman, his friend Bryce, can't figure out why Jaxon looks so much smaller here since they are the same age and about the same size, I thought.

The kids all ready to go! I love their costumes this year! So cute and so personality fitting!

Maelie and Kyla with their pumpkin collection. They painted another pumpkin at the school party. Oh, and also Jaxon got picked to be in the top 20 at the costume contest at the school!

Grandma's carnival and trunk or treat

Last night we had a great time at Grandma's ward carnival and trunk or treat.

Ethan the black widow, Maelie Rapunzel, Brielle Cinderella, Jaxon the fireman, Kyla Elastigirl from Incredibles, Alissa the kitty, and Mickey Zacary - the cousins that walked over together... there were even more cousins at the carnival!

Another dr appt showed absolutely no progress whatsoever so we are pretty much planning on the c section on Sunday!

spirit week and halloween fun

Monday night we had ghost pizza! The girls had sports day at school. Maelie wore her soccer uniform and Kyla borrowed an ASU cheerleader uniform. They were pretty cute.

For FHE activity we made Jaxon's firetruck, it turned out way cute! We were going to carve a pumpkin but ran out of time.

So Tuesday night we carved the pumpkin. Maelie drew the eyes, Kyla drew the mouth, and Jaxon drew the nose. They all helped carve...

Beautiful eh? Jonas had to run off to an appt to get his new calling - ward missionary! He is relieved and actually pretty excited!

Tuesday's spirit day was camouflage day, Maelie had a shirt and Kyla borrowed her 2 year old cousins pants and wore them as capris. =) Today is cool day (pic below)! Interesting choice of spirit days this year, atleast tomorrow is PJ day! What happened to crazy hair day is what I want to know?!!!

And that's our week so far! Tonight is Grandma's ward carnival!

last week with 3 kids

Well, we are in the last official week, I was really hoping I wouldn't make it this far because now it's crunch time to go into labor on my own. Since the c section is so close, I am trying my best to accept that it's a highly likely outcome. I'm ok with it, just really wanted the quicker recovery that comes with a normal delivery. Oh well, just so Canyon and I are safe right. I feel like I'm always getting ready just in case, making sure there is food in the house and making sure the house is clean, planning it all out in my head where the kids will go at different times and in different situations. But now I am sorta planning for that c section in my head. I really appreciate those who are so willing to help out with my kids.

Here is a sneak peek of the soon to be awesome firetruck for Jaxon's halloween costume...

See Kyla's painted cheek? She went to a birthday party Saturday from 3-6, which already seemed long to me. Well, when Jonas went to pick her up they hadn't even had cake or presents yet! He left here there again and went back around 6:45 and they were barely singing to her and still hadn't opened presents! He got her a piece of cake and took her home! Anyway, it was kinda crazy if you ask me, she had a blast tho, got to ride a pony and everything!

Maelie had another soccer game and they lost again! They are 1/2 way thru the season and her team has never won. Maelie is such an incredible person, I am so blessed to have her in my life. At the end of the game all the girls run thru the tunnel us parents and siblings make and a lot of the kids have grumpy faces because they lose all the time, but every single time Maelie has the hugest smile on her face. She is so happy and positive, it's awesome! Before fall break, I went to parents teacher conferences, both Maelie and Kyla are doing awesome in school! Maelie is above grade level in all subjects. I asked her teacher if she seemed a bit spacey at school ever because she can be that way (like her mom). Her teacher said, "it's funny you ask that because she is a little spacey, but it doesn't affect her work and actually that's one of the things I love about her. She doesn't let anything affect her, she is in her little bubble of peace where everything is right in the world." Awesome!

Yesterday we had ghost pancakes, so fun and yummy! It's amazing what 3 chocolate chips can do to a pancake. =)

I love this halloween time - it's so fun with kids!!!

waiting, waiting, waiting

9 days to go!? Do you see that on my ticker?!?! Well, I see it and I can hardly wait!!!

Fall Break is over!!! Between not spending any money, so not doing much, me super anxious to have this baby, and the kids fighting, I am so relieved the kids went back to school today! Poor kids. I wonder what they will say when their teacher asked what they did for break or if they had fun? hehehe. They were very happy to go back to school today, which is a good thing, right? I hope I will be a better mom for their next break from school!

I was tempted to move my c section up but when I mentioned it to my dr he was almost mad at me and I am glad he was and didn't give in to my moment of weakness. I have to stay strong and be patient because if I don't give myself that time to go into labor, I will never know and always wonder. Now, I am totally hoping for a normal delivery and ok about waiting, probably because time is getting nearer. Of course, ask me tomorrow after my dr appt and if I haven't progressed, I hope I don't get too depressed like last Thursday!

Life is good, I am so blessed, even if I am losing it! =)

We love October!

My awesome mom made Kyla an Incredibles costume for halloween and she has been wearing it all the time! The mask is still a work in progress!

Jaxon is going to be a fireman, we are going to make him a box firetruck. He loves his costume and never wants to take it off!

Maelie is going to be Rapunzel, but I don't have a pic.

The cute kids enjoying my bed... I am having the hardest time sleeping and want this baby out!!!

The kids love our tradition of painting pumpkins! Maelie made a rainbow pumpkin...

Jaxon is obsessed with blue right now...

And Kyla made a witch...

fall break

We've been having a very laid back low key fall break around here. We have been walking to the park first thing every morning, each park a little bit further than the last. Maelie and Kyla both ride their bikes and Jaxon rides in the stroller. He still doesn't show much interest in learning to ride a bike. The weather has been really nice, especially today! We spent about 2 hours this morning walking/riding and playing at parks. Then we met Jonas for a picnic at another park. And I think I will take Maelie and Jaxon to a park while Kyla is at therapy. I just want to be outside today! I'm loving the open windows. Tomorrow we have plans for another park picnic after I take Maelie to the dr, she has a strange rash that isn't clearing up... anyway! Tuesday night Jonas and I went to the temple while the kids had a blast with Shannon. I went to dr today and didn't get checked but baby has dropped. Hopefully next week when I get checked, I have made progress! It's coming!!! YAY!!!

general conference

General Conference weekend was great! Maelie had a soccer game first thing in the morning so we still need to watch Elder Scott's talk. There were so many great messages, I need to watch, listen and read them all again! A quote that really hit me was "Motherhood is not a hobby, it is a calling." by Elder Neil L. Andersen. I truly believe that and it was something I needed to hear. I really enjoyed that entire talk probably because it was close to home. "They're all mine and it's no picnic!" haha :) There were many other good ones that I am excited to go over again! Sunday Trevon and Hillary came over for the afternoon session, dinner, and games. And then that night we went to Brandon's mission farewell open house. He is headed to the MTC on Wednesday and then Mexico! Today is the first day of fall break! We walked to the park, went to therapy and have been kinda lazy other than that. Now time to take Maelie to piano, make dinner, have FHE, and put the kids to bed so we can watch Terra Nova - we really liked that show last week and hope it stays good!!

bah humbug

I have been having lots of pains and contractions so I was hopeful at today's 36 week checkup. I am 50% effaced and not dilated AT ALL!! A C Section is looking more and more tempting to me.... but I am trying to be patient!!!

Tomorrow is the last day of school before fall break, 2 1/2 weeks off for the kids! I am excited for not getting them to and from school and homework and all that.... but I hope I can survive the kids home all day everyday so pregnant. I'm sure I can!

And Saturday is October!!! YAY YAY YAY for October!!!!

And this weekend is conference! woohoo!!!

a light

at the end of the tunnel!

The end is near!! I now have my C Section scheduled, so now I know I won't be pregnant after October 30th! The countdown is so on! I am still really hoping he will come not only on his own but earlier!! I would also love to be able to go trick or treating and not be in the hospital on halloween. But it's not really my choice now is it!?

PDD-NOS

Kyla got her official diagnosis today from the developmental pediatrician. PDD-NOS, an autism spectrum disorder, basically mild autism, or atypical autism, or high functioning autism. This is the diagnosis she was given last year but I guess now it is official. So when she turns 6 she most likely won't get therapies through state anymore because she doesn't have typical autism. Oh well. I am looking forward to less. Kyla is a quirky little girl and we love her so much!!

getting ready

Today, Jaxon and I went over to my mom's to do some projects! I finished Canyon's blanket, made a crib sheet and made a car seat tent! My mom is amazing and awesome and I love her so much!!!

Saturday my awesome family gave me a baby shower. My sister in law Hillary made this cute cake!!

monotony

life is feeling a little monotonous. i need a change. a big change. any ideas???

JK. i have a big change coming and i feel so ready but at the same time i am scared out of my mind. am i ready for four kids? am i ready for another newborn/toddler/preschooler/school-ager/teenager. i know it's obvious but it's crazy how when we have another baby, it's not just another baby, it's another human to raise. it's a lot of money, time, and effort. it's also a ton of love and fun and adventure.

i'm also scared of the unknown. when will he come? will he come on his own so i can deliver vaginally? can i handle labor again? it's been 5 1/2 years since i've done that. i wish someone would tell me the day and time that he will come so i can plan and prepare and get on with my life. i hope my house will be clean the day he decides to come. i am trying to keep it clean but it's not working too well. in the back of my mind, i am thinking i will end up having another c section and i guess that's ok.

i am really excited! i hope all the kids will get along well. i hope i can do this. i hope i am ready.

life lately

Maelie started her first soccer league! A lot of the other kids seem to have been doing it for years... I didn't realize she would need cleats, ball, and shin guards, hehe. She has had 2 practices and 1 game. The game today was HOT!!! And they lost but I was pretty proud of Maelie, she kept on going!!

Maelie got Sideways Stories from Wayside School (loved that book when I was little) from her book orders. I love that she reads to Kyla. Kyla is also starting to read.

We are getting ready for Canyon!! I had about a million contractions yesterday from cleaning all day long! I am glad they stopped, even though I'm excited for him to come, he still needs to do a little more growing. :) But we are borrowing this awesome bed for Jaxon so now Canyon has a crib! (he won't need it until he sleeps through the night) I also quilted him a blanket, just need to bind it and make a sheet!

overwhelmed

school, piano, soccer, musical theater, therapies, pregnant! what have i done? I will never do this again.... I don't know what I have gotten myself into but it's too much for me. I am trying to gage whether it's too much for me or too much for the kids!! So far, I think it's just too much for me!!! And I think I need to get a job!
