a picnic and a firetruck

After we picked up Jonas, we grabbed some dinner and headed to the park for Jaxon's birthday. The kids had fun eating at the little clubhouse and then they spent the rest of their time chasing someone's remote control truck.
Then we headed to the firestation to see the firetruck. I'm pretty sure Jaxon was in heaven!!
We all had fun, it was pretty awesome!

Happy Birthday Jaxon!

Happy 2nd Birthday Jaxon!!!

My baby is 2 today!!! I love this kid to pieces!!! He was a surprise but we are SOOOOO glad he's in our family and we can't imagine life or this world without this awesome character! We love you Jaxon, happy birthday cutie!!!

this morning - Jaxon and his birthday pancakes

Jaxon got a train set and a road mat for his birthday from us. We are hoping to take him to the firestation today to see a firetruck!

just a bit of life

Last week, when I went to pick up Maelie, Maelie's class came out with these cute hats on, they all looked awesome! It was "e" week and of course she turned her elephant into a princess. :)

the kids eating icecream cones - Jaxon can be such a little trouble maker one minute and then so loveable the next! - Kyla is the same way. :)

Jaxon and Jonas ran to Albertson's last week and came back with this truck. This boy is so into vehicles! He seriously sits like this for an hour doing this... just pushing his cars around!

On Sunday, Kyla and Jaxon were doing this for quite a while, taking turns hiding between the door and the security door. And they would both say "my turn" - it was pretty cute. I was pretty excited they were playing so well together because they have reached the fighting stage that Maelie and Kyla are pretty much over.

dance

The girls finished their little community dance class yesterday and had a little performance for the parents. It 'aint Campbell's that's for sure! But the kids had fun doing it. They loved going every week, even Kyla went in willingly and came out happy, which is great for her! Poor Kyla started crying because they did their jazz dance and she wanted to do the ballerina one. I wish they had done both but what do ya do!! The video of Kyla doing it is way too sad to watch so I posted the one after where Kyla was sitting on my lap. It did make me realize how talented my sister Taani is. At Princess bootcamp last summer they had the same amount of time as this community class... and Taani had them doing a whole dance, changing formations, and introducing themselves in the mike.

Next class -swimming! Both girls are scared of the water, so we'll see how that goes!!

Our Family according to Maelie :)

My family is Mom. My Mom helps. Next is Kyla. Kyla laughs. Dad helps me. Jaxon is funny and crazy. My money.

Maelie has been doing a journal at home for school and this is what she wrote yesterday all on her own. And I asked her why she wrote My Money at the end and she said it was because she got some money and she was excited to go buy a toy at the store... duh! Anyway, I thought this was pretty cute. I am amazed at how much kindergartners learn!!

Happy Valentine's Day!!

We had a good busy Valentine's weekend. The girls enjoyed their parties at school. Friday night we watched some friends' kids so we had 6 kids under the age of 6. It was very busy and we never had a dull moment for those almost 24 hours. We are grateful for that friendship we have with the Clark's - such a great family. And now I have a new best friend with their youngest who actually cried when I put her down at their house as Jonas and I were on the way out the door for our V-Day date! haha! We were able to go to our tradtional Cheesecake Factory, love that place and then grocery shopping (how romantic:) and then Olympics after we put the kids to bed. After an early church we had pink heart pancakes and banana sauce for lunch. We have been having breakfast for lunch on Sunday, it's a fun new tradition. :) This afternoon we dipped some strawberries in chocolate which we haven't eaten yet but are hopefully YUM, never done that before. We just had lasgna and are pretty full! Anyway...

sometimes I look at my cute kids and realize how lucky I am! This was during our pink heart pancake lunch and I just had to take a picture, always want to remember how cute they are! And just hate it when the cutest pix turn out blurry. :(
Saturday lunchtime we went over to Grandma and Grandpa's (with all 6 kids) and the kids decorated Valentine mailboxes and then gave eachother Valentine's. We also had burgers and hotdogs and a birthday party for my Dad. I didn't take any pix of that but on the rush to get everyone out the door, my Mom handed me these cute letters that I am thinking she must have made them, haha! But the girls have been playing with them a LOT!! Thank you Mom!

Happy Valentine's Day!!! :)
