Jonas is coming home today!!!

Jonas went to his little brother's farewell this past weekend up in Cardston, AB, Canada and he is coming home today! I am sooooo excited! When I woke up this morning, it seriously felt like christmas!!! I can hardly wait until 5:30!

For Labor day we wanted to get away to cooler weather and some mountains so we went to Payson, AZ.

Yeah for Sundays when Jonas is home all day and not doing homework!!!

Jonas has started a class at MCC for pre-req's for his grad program! The result... Maelie, Kyla, and I are spending even MORE time without him! I totally have been loving him just working but now that we're back in school again along with full-time work, it is a hard adjustment because when he is home he has homework! Poor guy! Ahh! Like all things in life, we will get thru it!

Our future

Right now Jonas has a good job at Orbital Sciences as an engineer and we like the area we live in and our ward. It is really expensive to buy a house here tho! Jonas really wants to get a PhD in biomedical engineering! So we are trying to "move on with life" as soon as we can. I am busy at home being Jonas' secretary, figuring out tons of fun stuff for getting into grad schools. We have already applied to ASU and the University of Aukland in New Zealand. We are also working on Georgia Tech, the U of Alberta, the U of Utah, the U of Washington, Stanford, and the U of Oldenburg in Germany is sorta on the backburner because of the lack of funding! We have heard from 1 school, the Univeristy of Aukland and he has been accepted!!! That would be way fun! Jonas went to Wellington, New Zealand on his mission. The only thing that is holding us back to go there is that the funding may not be as good as some of the other choices. But at least he got accepted somewhere, so we should definitely be going somewhere to go back to school next Fall!! Yippee!!!

A much needed break!

So, I love being a mother! But every mother (and father) need a break! Jonas and I just went to San Diego for 4 days and my mom kept Maelie and Kyla at home with her! Thanks a billion gazillion Mom!!! It was such a fun, carefree vacation! Sometimes I was like, "Oh I wish Maelie and Kyla were here!" But it was very nice to be just Jonas and I! And I missed them and was so excited to see them when we came home! We went to the beach, Sea World, the temple, ate out a LOT (Cheesecake Factory was my favorite, avacado egg rolls are delish!!!), went to 2 movies late at night, slept in, and just enjoyed being together. My mom was sooo worn out and glad when we came home! I am so grateful that she was willing to do that because I think it is good for every marriage to have time just the 2 of you. I hope to do that someday for my kids!

We went to the Phx zoo on Saturday because it was overcast and we thought it would be nice, but it was soooo hot! We're not going back to the zoo until halloween when it just starts to cool down around here!!! The girls loved playing in the water tho, and yeah we did see a few animals!
